Supervises chambermaids’ and porters’ work and work methods.
Ensures the floors’ inventory management for amenities.
Ensures the cleanliness of hotel rooms, suites, and public spaces.
Ensures the VIP services’ setup.
Manages rooms in collaboration with the Front Office.
Prepares the daily chambermaids’ listing.
Organizes periodic cleanings.
Writes work orders.
Ensures ongoing communication with the Laundry department for furniture cleaning and sewing work.
Follows up daily on special services offered to important and/or long-stay guests.
Checks the presence of all passes and keys at the end of the afternoon shift, reports anomalies.
Ensures Housekeeping staff are familiar with hotel facilities and services to answer guest queries.
Ensures staff respect grooming and dress code policies, hygiene, uniform cleanliness, grooming, attitude, and behavior.
Conducts briefings, floor meetings, and evaluations.
Coordinates effectively with other departments such as Front Office, Maintenance, and Laundry.
Handles guest complaints and suggestions, takes immediate action, and reports unresolved issues to superiors.
Ensures guest room comfort, cleanliness, and special requests are met.
Serves guests diligently and courteously, with special attention to regular and important guests.
Knows hotel offers thoroughly to inform guests accurately.
Inquires about hotel and external events to assist guests effectively.
Builds and maintains effective interdepartmental relationships.
Promotes core values and professional behavior among staff and colleagues.
Reports incidents or problems during work hours to management, especially unresolved or significant issues.
Implements hotel procedures and policies, suggests improvements for departmental efficiency.
Adheres to health, hygiene, and safety protocols.
Monitors use of cleaning products to prevent waste and health hazards.
Enforces environmentally sustainable practices, supporting Green Globe certification standards.
May perform other duties as requested by management.
Profile:
Higher degree in Hospitality Management.
1-2 years of experience in similar roles in 4- or 5-star hotels with over 200 rooms.
Fluent in French and English; knowledge of a third target language (German, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Middle Eastern, Dutch, Russian) is highly desirable.
Proficient with computer skills and Opera software.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and listening skills.
