Join the ZHAW School of Applied Linguistics as a Professor and lead the Institute of Multilingual Communication (IMK). This 100 % position involves management responsibilities, strategic development, and the enhancement of the institute’s innovative profile.
Tasks
* Participate in School Management and strategic development.
* Lead and represent the entire School.
* Strategically manage and further develop the institute across its four areas of activity: teaching, continuing education, research, and business services.
* Lead directly reporting research and administrative staff.
* Develop practice‑oriented teaching and research, preferably on multilingual communication in the context of artificial intelligence.
* Build internal and external networks of the institute at a national and international level.
* Support and develop employees in their professional advancement.
Qualifications
* Doctorate with a strong research profile and practical experience in fields related to multilingual communication.
* Solid experience in university teaching and research.
* Ability to develop innovative, practice‑oriented educational content.
* Integrative leadership with a transformative style; ability to inspire employees, foster self‑efficacy, and actively shape change processes.
* Excellent command of German and English, plus at least one additional language.
* Strong international network and familiarity with the educational landscape and professional fields of multilingual Switzerland.
