High-voltage and power electronics development Engineer

For more than 60 years, we have been one of the leading manufacturers of high-tech measuring and testing systems for the cable, plastics and steel industries. Zumbach Electronic AG develops, manufactures, sells and services several families of measurement systems using various measurement principles such as laser scanning, X-ray, ultrasound, capacitive and inductive measurements, camera image processing, laser sectioning, etc. Thanks to the breadth of its offer, Zumbach Electronic AG is able to cover virtually all measurements needs of its customers.
As a result of a future pension-related replacement and in order to strengthen our R&D department, we are looking for a committed, innovative and technically savvy personality for the Orpund site for the high voltage and power electronics group.
Your Role:
Join our R&D team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge measurement systems for high-voltage and power electronics applications. Your key responsibilities include:
* Developing advanced measurement systems, including high-voltage spark testers for cables, high-power induction heating systems, and X-ray measurement systems, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Driving innovation by contributing your expertise in power supplies and analog circuits to measurement system development projects.
* Ensuring continuous product improvement and maintenance of our device families.
Your Profile:
* Degree in electronics (Uni, UofAS, or ETH), electrical engineering, physics or related disciplines.
* Proven expertise in analog electronics, power electronics, and high-voltage technology. Knowledge of digital electronics and embedded software is a plus.
* A passion for technology and innovation, with a desire to take new products from concept to industrial application.
* Fluency in German and/or English and ideally knowledge of French. Other languages are an advantage.
* Analytical, systematic, and solution-oriented mindset.
* Independent and proactive, with a motivational and team-oriented approach.
