As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, maintaining, and standardizing software solutions specifically dedicated for production line and end-of-line testing equipment. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, quality, and reliability of manufacturing processes. MAIN ROLE AND ACTIVITIES Full Lifecycle Software Development: Execute the entire software development life cycle for automated and system-controlled assembly and End-of-Line testing software. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet industry standards and comply with coding best practices. Programming and Testing: Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions. Integrate software components into a fully functional system. Create software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Debug and upgrade existing systems. Document and maintain software functionality. Evaluate user feedback and deploy necessary updates. Provide 3rd level support to local sites KEY EXPERIENCES - What experiences bring success to this position? Experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer ideally in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in topics related to connectivity of manufacturing equipment, logistics systems Familiarity with designing interactive applications is essential. Experience in cross functional project management. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, master’s degree is an asset. COMPETENCIES- What competencies bring success to this position? Proficiency in software development (LabVIEW is a prerequisite, Python is an asset) and software development methods. Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL, Power BI knowledge is beneficial. Good communication skills in English is a prerequisite, German is an advantage. Good knowledge of electrics & electronics is beneficial.
