We are seeking a highly qualified Project Manager / Construction Manager to support and oversee small CAPEX engineering projects (typically up to 500 kCHF) at a regulated production site. The selected resource will work within an internal engineering organization to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Execution
* Manage and coordinate small CAPEX engineering projects from initiation through execution and close-out.
* Plan, schedule, and monitor project activities, milestones, and deliverables.
* Compile and present structured project updates, including status, risks, issues, and next steps.
Construction & Site Management
* Provide day-to-day project and/or construction management support for ongoing engineering activities.
* Oversee on-site execution with strong focus on safety, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
* Coordinate contractors, vendors, and cross-functional internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Technical & Operational Oversight
* Identify and resolve technical issues throughout project execution.
* Analyze system requirements and contribute to defining project scope, functional requirements, and deliverables.
* Ensure full documentation of all project phases in compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
* Proactively identify project risks and issues, propose mitigation strategies, and escape appropriately.
* Ensure clear, timely communication across internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
Key Requirements:
* 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Construction Manager supporting small CAPEX engineering projects.
* Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment, with strong understanding of GMP requirements.
* Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction oversight, and technical troubleshooting.
* Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams.
* Proactive, solution‑oriented, and able to work independently.
* Strong organizational and structuring skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and timely reporting.
* Sound judgment and ability to escape issues and risks at the right time.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
* Needs to be able to go on-site.
* Needs to hold an EU passport or valid Swiss work permit.
