We are looking for an Utilities & HVAC Engineering Project Manager to lead several technical projects, mainly in the field of utilities and industrial infrastructure (renovation or construction of technical buildings).
Your Responsibilities
Site Execution & Coordination
* Lead and supervise all on‑site construction and installation activities for CAPEX projects
* Act as the central coordination point between contractors, engineering teams, and stakeholders
* Ensure strict adherence to approved designs, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements
Performance & Delivery Management
* Drive construction performance across cost, schedule, and quality targets
* Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project milestones
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure alignment with project objectives
Health, Safety & Compliance Leadership
* Hold full accountability for construction site safety and HSE performance
* Review, challenge, and approve safety and installation concepts in collaboration with HSE experts
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
* Foster a strong safety culture across all contractors and site personnel
Procurement & Contracting Support
* Contribute to tendering processes, including scope definition, technical input, and contractor selection
* Ensure all construction and safety requirements are fully integrated into procurement documentation
* Support bid evaluations and contract awards in close collaboration with technical procurement teams
Project Close-Out & Quality Assurance
* Lead final inspections and handover activities, ensuring full compliance with project deliverables
* Manage punch lists and ensure timely resolution of defects
* Guarantee readiness for commissioning and qualification phases
Continuous Improvement & Additional Projects
* Oversee smaller CAPEX or maintenance projects within the Construction function
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction practices, standards, and methodologies
Profile Sought
* Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or civil engineering
* Business proficiency in German and in English
* Relevant years of experience in construction management for infrastructure projects in GMP environment / Pharma industry
