About the Job
We are seeking a creative and resourceful Copywriter & Social Media Coordinator to support the relaunch of one of the world’s most exclusive, conservation-led luxury destinations, Fregate Island, Seychelles.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create at the intersection of pristine nature, conservation at its finest, and ultra-high-end hospitality.
As our storyteller— you will craft copy that brings our stories to life, manage our social channels end‑to‑end, and ensure that every guest-facing word and message is flawlessly on-brand. You’ll work closely with our island-based On-site Content & Asset Creator and diverse stakeholders, while also diving into our CMS, DAM/MAM, CRM, and CEP tools to launch landing pages, update website content, and publish campaigns.
Job Description
Content Creation & Copywriting:
Write compelling, story-driven copy for website pages, landing pages, newsletters, marketing campaigns, printed collateral, and other guest-facing touchpoints.
Work closely with stakeholders to align copy with strategic objectives and brand voice.
Social Media Management:
Co-own the editorial calendar with the On-site Content & Asset Creator - plan, write, schedule, and publish content across platforms in line with the overall Sales & Marketing strategy.
Monitor performance and suggest content improvements based on insights.
Digital Platform Management:
Create and update content in CMS and CEP/CRM platforms (e.g. Sanity, Contentful, Bloomreach, HubSpot).
Organize and manage assets in DAM/MAM systems.
Marketing & Campaign Support:
Assist with campaign and newsletter development in alignment with the Sales & Marketing strategy. Craft engaging copy, coordinate visuals and ensure that every message reflects the brand’s voice and vision.
Track campaign performance and suggest optimizations based on insights.
Map, design, and optimize email journeys and templates.
Conduct A/B testing and use marketing automation tools to enhance performance.
Copy Workflow & Project Coordination
Own the content workflow from briefing through stakeholder reviews, translation coordination, and final sign-off.
Manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines with clarity and precision.
Proactively suggest improvements to streamline content production processes.
Brand Stewardship:
Act as a tone-of-voice guardian for Fregate—Quality Assurance for all written content for accuracy, consistency, and emotional alignment with our brand identity.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Sales, Data, Conservation and Hospitality teams to uncover guest stories, harvest insights, and translate them into compelling content.
About You
You’re a hands-on, multi-skilled creative person with a startup mindset. Confident working without pre-set processes or templates — you help build them, iterating fast, and jumping in wherever needed. You thrive in an environment where nothing is fully defined yet, and you bring structure, clarity, and creativity to the table.
You’re not limited by job titles or silos — you’re a natural co-creator who’s eager to help shape the product, brand, and guest experience from the ground up. You understand the unique dynamics of a pre-opening phase and are ready to go beyond your comfort zone to contribute wherever you can make an impact.
3+ years’ experience in content writing, copywriting, digital marketing, marketing copy, ideally in the luxury, hospitality or art industries.
A natural storyteller: you turn product and nature details into immersive narratives
Experience managing content translation processes.
A solid understanding of social media formats, engagement principles, and analytics.
Solid understanding of email copywriting best practices, customer journeys, and performance-driven messaging.
Strong project management skills: you can prioritize conflicting deadlines and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills: you are comfortable educating and influencing non-digital stakeholders to reach the best content outcome.
Experience with social media tools, basic graphic design platforms (e.g. Canva), and asset libraries.
Impeccable attention to detail—you catch every typo and tonal inconsistency.
Comfortable juggling multiple initiatives and tight deadlines in a fast‑paced, small team.
Exceptional mastery of the English language is essential. Any other languages is a big plus.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn new tools and systems.
Reliable, discreet, and professional with a strong respect for data privacy.
Experience working with multicultural teams; sensitivity and adaptability to cultural nuances.
