Our client, a global leader in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, is seeking a QC Associate to join their QC Bioanalytics Microbial team in Visp, Switzerland, on a contract currently running until 31.03.2026.
In this position, you will be responsible for release testing of biopharmaceutical drug substances for both clinical and commercial applications, ensuring strict compliance with GMP and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan and perform release analytics for biopharmaceutical products
* Implement, optimize, transfer, and validate analytical methods, primarily in biochemical analytics (e.g., SDS-PAGE, qPCR, ELISA, plate-based assays)
* Act as a subject matter expert on technical and analytical topics
* Extract, evaluate, and report analytical data; prepare scientific reports and presentations
* Process change requests and deviations under GMP guidelines
* Draft, review, and approve documents to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including other QC teams, Research, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU citizenship required
* Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field
* Prior laboratory experience in a GMP-regulated biopharma or pharmaceutical environment
* Solid technical experience with biochemical and bioanalytical methods (e.g., ELISA, SDS-PAGE, qPCR)
* Strong analytical thinking and documentation skills
* Experience working under GMP and familiarity with deviation/change control processes
* Fluency in German is mandatory
* Independent and structured working style with strong communication and teamwork abilities
