We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer (HVAC – Aerospace) with strong expertise in Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS / ATA 21) to join a leading aerospace program in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
* Design and integrate aircraft HVAC / ECS systems (ATA 21) including Air Conditioning Packs (ACMs), bleed air interfaces, ducts, valves, sensors, and fans
* Develop temperature control logic and trim air systems for multi-zone cabin comfort
* Integrate ECS with pressurization, ventilation, avionics cooling, and other aircraft systems
* Design airflow and ducting layouts in coordination with structures, interiors, and avionics teams
* Create system schematics, functional diagrams, wiring, pneumatic diagrams, and installation drawings
* Develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
* Ensure compliance with EASA CS-25 / FAA FAR-25, including CS 25.1309 and CS 25.831
* Perform 3D routing/modeling and 2D drafting
* Support change management processes and cross-functional collaboration
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
* 10+ years of relevant experience in Aircraft Air Conditioning / ECS (ATA 21)
* Strong hands-on experience with UG/NX and Teamcenter (PLM/PDM tools)
* Solid knowledge of heat exchangers, heat loads, and thermodynamic principles
* Experience working on aircraft programs such as A320, A330, A350, B737, B787, G650, G700
* Understanding of interior cabin layouts, LOPA, elevations, and zonal layouts
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

* ECS integration with ATA 25, ATA 36, ATA 38, and ATA 24 systems
