Creativ Medium is an independent design studio and creative agency based in Zug, Switzerland. We work across branding, digital design, interaction, and content to craft distinctive, future-facing creative solutions. Our clients range from emerging ventures to established international brands, and our projects span multiple platforms and disciplines.
We are currently looking for a freelance UI/UX Animator with advanced motion design skills and a strong understanding of interface principles. The ideal candidate will bring digital interfaces to life through intentional, high-precision motion, and be equally comfortable animating presentations and promotional content when required.
Responsibilities
Animate UI transitions, interactions, micro-behaviors, and system-level motion across mobile and web platforms.
Translate static layouts and wireframes into expressive, functional animated prototypes.
Design and animate presentation materials, case studies, and promotional content for brand and product storytelling.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and creative directors to define how motion enhances usability and communicates brand tone.
Create scalable motion systems with clean documentation and ready-to-implement animation assets.
Required Expertise
Strong portfolio that demonstrates purposeful, high-quality animation applied to user interfaces and promotional content.
Advanced understanding of motion design as a tool for usability, interaction clarity, and brand expression.
Ability to animate across various platforms (iOS, Android, Web) with knowledge of platform-specific motion guidelines.
Clear visual thinking and ability to communicate concepts and transitions precisely.
Self-direction, responsiveness, and ability to work efficiently within remote teams.
Design & Visual Knowledge
Expert understanding of visual and interaction design principles including:
Minimalism, modernism, and other visual styles
Design theory, layout, and hierarchy
Spacing, rhythm, and responsive grid systems
Interactivity and feedback patterns
Accessibility and visual contrast
Ability to integrate animation seamlessly into clean, structured interface systems

Figma (Smart Animate, Figmotion, motion plugins)
Adobe After Effects (Bodymovin for Lottie export)
Lottie / LottieFiles
ProtoPie, Principle, Framer
Rive (Flare)
Spline (for 3D interface animation)
Origami Studio
Code & Animation Libraries (Familiarity Required)
GSAP (GreenSock Animation Platform)
Framer Motion (React)
CSS keyframes and transitions
JavaScript animation frameworks
Three.js (optional)
