Expert Model-based System Engineering
Responsibilities:
1. Being part of a team supporting the fast and accurate control and diagnostic developments as well as controllers’ pre-calibration by virtual twins (Model Based Development).
2. Create the models of 2-stroke combustion engines and its components for SiL (software in-the-loop), MiL (model in-the-loop) and HiL (hardware in-the-loop) usage.
3. Establish model calibration processes by developing engine data pre-processing scripts.
4. Maintenance of the HiL rigs' real time software environement for use from initial development to certification-capable controller testing.
5. Giving guidance on model-based system engineering methodoloties to the development teams of R&D.
6. Work together with the project teams that are preparing datasets for the virtual twins or utilising the virtual twins for developments.
7. Good communicator at a detailed technical level, but also in order to present overall results to management levels.
8. Be an effective team player, open and cooperative, in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
Requirements:
9. MSc in Electrical of Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with focus on engine controls
10. Proven knowledge on automation, Linear Control theory and System Identification is prerequisite.
11. Proven knowledge on reciprocating, internal combustion engines as well.
12. Experienced in Matlab/Simulink and its real time toolboxes.
13. Good knowledge on state-of-the-art development methodologies. Familiar with the Verification & Validation process.
14. Basic knowledge in project management.
15. Open and flexible.
16. Good social skills, can work together with further experts in an interdisciplinary environment.
17. Very fluent in English.
18. good German is of advantage.
