The Regional Business Team is responsible for building and managing the strategic engagement and development of existing and new Forum Partners in Asia Pacific, China, Latin America, Middle East & Africa, South Asia and Japan across Industry Communities, the 11 Forum Centres and our Forum events.
We are currently searching for a Partner Lead (Account Manager) who will focus on building and reinforcing strategic relationships and interactions with senior executives from Forum Partner companies in the Asia Pacific region, with the key market for this portfolio being South Korea. The broader region comprises ASEAN countries, North Asia and Australasia.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining executive‑level relationships with key executives (from CEO, C‑suite, Executive Com., to Executive Contacts).
- Developing an in‑depth understanding of Partners’ strategies and priorities across industry sectors and a deep understanding of the regional business context.
- Ensuring retention by developing tailored engagement plans for Partners to address their priorities and deepen their engagement in the most relevant Forum activities, in collaboration with the Partner Success Team (customer success).
- Onboarding senior executives from Partner companies into the Forum ecosystem and relevant engagements, in collaboration with Partner Success.
- Visiting Partners on a recurrent basis to discuss their priorities, elaborate and regularly revise the engagement strategies of the assigned portfolio of Partners.
- Ensuring all Partner interactions are accurately documented in Salesforce and that the Partner Success Team and all relevant internal stakeholders are notified about any actions to be taken to ensure effective Partner engagement.
- Monitoring Partner news and health, and quality and depth of engagement across Industries, Centres and Forum events (on a recurrent basis) to identify risks for engagement; communicating detected risks and taking preventive measures to address them by mobilising the relevant teams as needed and in close collaboration with Partner Success Team.
- Translating opportunities for expanded Partner engagement into upgrades by working in close collaboration with Industry, Centres and Partner Success Teams.
- Managing Partners’ and prospective Partners’ approach, preparation and on‑site participation in Forum events, by supporting the Partner Success and Partner Development (sales) Teams to develop agendas, executive briefings and schedule and run bilateral meetings.
- Ensuring smooth off‑boarding of Partners, when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including engaging with senior private sector stakeholders in South Korea and the broader Asia Pacific Region.
- Proven experience engaging with business leaders at senior executive level, to understand business strategy and to translate business requirements into concrete business solution proposals.
- Proven track record and ability to steer conversations and influence engagement at the highest senior executive level.
- Capacity to apply critical thinking, synthesize various viewpoints, consult broadly and work collaboratively across matrix organizations.
- Outstanding communication skills and command of English; fluency in Korean language is a strong plus.
- Ability to travel up to 40% for Partner visits.
