About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Buyer (CAPEX) to support capital expenditure procurement activities across assigned projects. In this role, you will focus on operational buying, supplier coordination, documentation, and ensuring adherence to procurement processes. You will work under the guidance of Project Buyers or Lead Buyers.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Procurement Execution
* Support end‑to‑end operational buying activities for CAPEX projects (from requisition to PO and close‑out).
* Prepare and issue purchase orders in SAP aligned with approved sourcing decisions.
* Track order confirmations, deliveries, and invoice alignment.
Sourcing & RFQ Support
* Support RFQ processes, including data collection, bid comparison, and documentation.
* Assist senior buyers with supplier communications on pricing, delivery, and document requirements.
* Maintain transparent and auditable sourcing documentation.
Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
* Act as procurement contact for defined work packages.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Finance.
* Support schedule adherence and cost tracking at the order level.
* Communicate with suppliers regarding order execution.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, GMP, EHS, and internal guidelines.
* Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Scope & Authority
* Executes procurement activities within a defined scope and under clear guidance.
* Does not define sourcing strategies or lead contract negotiations.
* Does not carry full project procurement accountability.
* Final decision authority rests with Project Buyer / Lead Buyer.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Background
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
* Initial experience in procurement, supply chain, or operational buying preferred.
* Exposure to technical, engineering, or CAPEX environments is an advantage.
* Structured, detail‑oriented working style.
* Ability to work in multi‑stakeholder project environments.
* Basic commercial and contractual understanding.
