The Network Engineer will be based in Geneva and will report to the Network Manager, with responsibilities including:
1. Ensuring day-to-day network operation and monitoring, and resolving network issues with a business-oriented approach.
2. Collaborating with global IT teams to implement new systems and address security concerns.
3. Maintaining network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalation.
4. Upgrading network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
5. Designing and implementing wired and wireless networks, including LANs, WANs, and SD-WAN solutions.
6. Managing Cisco ISE authentication (802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS+).
7. Enhancing network security and documenting processes and cabling layouts.
8. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
9. Managing the proxy solution deployment and operation.
10. Optional: Telephony knowledge for SBC and Teams environments.
11. Working beyond normal hours and being on call.
12. Participating in a Follow the Sun support team.
Qualifications
1. Strong technical skills with Cisco equipment; CCNP certification preferred.
2. Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and Cisco routing and switching.
3. Knowledge of SD-WAN, internet circuits, Wi-Fi deployment, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
4. Experience with proxy solutions (McAfee, Zscaler, Palo Alto) and WAF (F5 Silverline).
5. Automation skills with Python and Ansible.
6. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Networking.
7. 8-10 years of experience in a multi-cultural environment.
