We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and support our growing international operations. This role is primarily on-site in beautiful Zug, Switzerland, with the flexibility of one home office day per week.
What are we looking for?
* At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in Switzerland and/or Germany.
* Thorough understanding of Swiss GAAP (OR) and sound knowledge of Swiss payroll and social security regulations.
* Professional working knowledge of English, and German.
* Thorough understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and sound knowledge of German social security regulations highly advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail; experience in financial reporting and audits is a plus.
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multinational team.
What will you be doing?
* Oversee accounting, tax, VAT compliance, and payroll for our Swiss and German entities (with external accountant support in Germany).
* Prepare and submit financial statements, tax returns, and audits for local and international entities.
* Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end closings, including reconciliations and adjustments.
* Handle freelancer payroll, payouts, and international payments while monitoring cash flow.
* Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities in Switzerland and Germany.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis for management.
* Continuously improve internal financial processes and assist with ad hoc finance tasks.
