Role Description
* The main responsibility of the Recruiter (River) is to ensure a stable pipeline of accepted candidates over all vacant positions on all River vessels. This includes organizing, conducting and evaluating successful assessment centers; maintain a healthy relationship with our partner agencies and representing Viking Cruises as an Employer of Choice within the cruise industry
* The Recruiter will report to the Senior Manager Recruiting
Key Responsibilities
* Verify recruiting profiles & selection criteria with all involved departments
* Conduct personal and Skype interviews for onboard crew and Heads of department
* Organization and execution of assessment centers (location planning, communication with recruiting agencies worldwide, screening, selection, interviews, statistics)
* Participate in recruiting events online and throughout Europe and Asia
* Supervision and control over candidate resource pool
* Efficient handling of scheduling requests
* Research competitor conditions, visa requirements & industry trends (Benchmarking)
* Follow defined recruiting processes in an effective & efficient manner to ensure given budgets and optimize if necessary
* Ensure adequate reporting of recruiting status quo & measures at all times
* Maintain business relationships with a trusted network of high-quality recruiting agencies in all relevant markets
Key Qualifications
* Professional experience in a similar position
* Background in an operational position (F&B, Housekeeping, Enrichment, Guest Services or Culinary) in the upscale hotel industry or international and vast experience on an ocean or river vessel in an upscale cruise line is a plus
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills
* Fluent in English, additional languages a plus
* Excellent computer knowledge (Office, SuccessFactors), administrative experience
* Openness for new ideas, honest, critical, energetic and enthusiastic
* Flexibility and stress resistance, team player, commitment, positive personality, professional appearance
Nice to Have Qualifications
* International experience / experience on a ship is an asset
