Position Overview
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing and managing all quantity and cost remeasurement, variation claims, budgeting and forecasting tasks related to his/her project, including supporting Sub-Contract Managers for claims and estimations.
Responsibilities
You monitor project costs from inception to completion, providing accurate cost projections and detailed reports.
You collaborate closely with project teams to assess project scope changes, adjusting cost estimates and budgets as needed.
You review and understand drawings and material take-off issued by SBM Offshore or contractors, quantity survey capabilities for various disciplines of work such as Structural, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Coating, etc.
You perform site inspection to verify quantities / changes for remeasurement and variation claims.
You prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts, offering transparency and insight into budget performance and variances.
Education
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Oil & Gas industry, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in cost forecasting, reporting, cost management software and advanced Excel skills.
