Job Title: Sales and Export Manager

Role Overview

The
Sales and Export Manager
will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing export operations, and expanding our customer base in international markets. This role contributes actively to the company's international growth and requires a dynamic professional with strong leadership, negotiation, and market analysis skills.

Location Options:
Italy, Greece, Switzerland.

Employment Type:
80% to 100%, Hybrid or Remote.

Key Responsibilities

* Sales Strategy & Market Expansion
– Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to grow sales in international markets. Identify and evaluate new international markets with high potential for premium food products.
* Customer, Distribution Network, Partner Management
&
Development
– Manage and develop the existing client portfolio in the assigned markets. Identify and acquire new clients, build and manage relationships with high-end distributors, gourmet retailers and other business partners to expand Mediterre' s commercial network.
* Negotiation & Contract Management
– Negotiate commercial terms, pricing strategies, contracts and distribution agreements in coordination with the product management team.
* Export Operations & Compliance
– Oversee logistics, customs regulations, and export documentation (customs clearance, and certifications) to ensure smooth international trade.
* Revenue & Performance Tracking
– Lead demand forecasting and inventory planning for international markets. Monitor sales performance ensuring achievement of established targets. Report key metrics to management with periodic reports on activities carried out, sales performance, and client feedback.
* Market Research & Competitive Analysis
– Identify trends and competitor activities to optimize business strategies and uncover new opportunities.
* Cross-functional Collaboration
– Work closely with supply chain, and production teams to align business goals. Collaborate with the Marketing department to define promotional initiatives and brand positioning strategies.
* Field promotion
– Participate in international trade fairs and industry events to promote products and strengthen Mediterre market position.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree
in business, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field.
* Demonstrated expertise
in sales and export management, ideally in the FMCG sector with a focus on food products. Experience in managing relationships with distributors and direct clients and ability to engage with new international partners effectively.
* Cultural Intelligence
,
Negotiation, Communication Skills & Problem-Solving
– Commercial acumen and results-oriented mindset. Understanding of regional tastes, etiquette, and negotiation styles. Ability to develop market strategies and resolve challenges.
* Knowledge of international trade regulations
– Understanding of customs, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
* Fluent in English
* Ability to travel
– Willingness to visit clients, attend trade shows, and oversee export operations.

Bonus Traits

* A strong network in the gourmet food and hospitality sectors.
* Regulatory Knowledge, Logistics Expertise – Familiarity with international food laws, labelling, import/export protocols, Incoterms, freight optimization.
* Fluent in Italian, Greek, German language.
* Proficiency in CRM, sales and export management SW tools.
