PpHitachi Energy is seeking an experienced and motivated RD Team Manager to lead our Next Generation Grids Transformer team in Geneva, Switzerland. /ph3How you’ll make an impact /h3ulliLead, develop, and motivate an international RD team of 5+ engineers with know‑how in medium frequency transformers, power converters and lab testing. /liliProvide technical leadership and support the team in solving complex engineering challenges. /liliContribute to RD strategy and technology direction, including development of roadmaps for the New Generation Grids Transformers product line. /liliPlan, drive, and deliver RD projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and quality targets. /liliCollaborate closely with global RD teams, engineering functions, and external partners. /liliManage project resources and budgets to maximize impact and operational efficiency. /liliTake responsibility for the RD laboratory and infrastructure, including driving expansion plans. /liliIntroduce and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to improve performance. /li /ulh3Your background /h3ulliMaster’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field. /liliSeveral years of industrial experience in product development, or technology management. /liliStrong technical background in transformers and power converters. /liliProven experience in project management within RD or product development. /liliExperience in leading technical teams (line or project leadership) and working in international and cross‑functional environments. /liliStrong communication skills in English (French is a plus) and stakeholder engagement capabilities. /li /ulh3More about us /h3pYou will join a collaborative and international RD environment at the forefront of next‑generation grid technologies.
