IT Desktop Support Technician (German-speaking)
For our client, an innovative and dynamic bio-pharmaceutical company covering multiple therapeutic areas, committed into delivering products on the market over the next 5 years, we are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician for a permanent position based in Basel, Switzerland.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop infrastructure support to local and regional business partners
- Manage and support endpoint devices including desktops, laptops, and iOS devices
- Deliver hands-and-feet support for infrastructure teams and ensure proper escalation
- Assist with asset management and maintain accurate IT inventory
- Coordinate with vendors, internal departments, and senior management for effective service delivery
- Ensure compliance with internal Information Security Policies and GxP qualification standards
- Participate in local and regional IT project coordination
- Maintain documentation related to equipment disposal and ensure timely handling
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
- 7 – 9 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure services, or desktop management
- Solid understanding of network configurations, IT systems, and common enterprise hardware/software
- Experience in working with senior stakeholders and end-user support
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Familiar with data center environments and local project execution
- Fluency in English and good German skills required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines
