PpbAbout the Role /b /p /p pSwiss Re is looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking LH underwriter to join the Southern European team based in Zurich. In addition to more traditional underwriting activities, such as case assessment, training, and audits, we are seeking someone who can take on a highly client-facing role, supporting our clients both operationally and strategically. /p pIn this position, you will be responsible for the assessment of medical, financial, and special risks for all range of Life and Health covers. You will work closely with clients to provide underwriting expertise, share best practices, and contribute to the development and enhancement of underwriting frameworks and processes. /p pThe role will work together with a wider Southern Europe dedicated cross functional team on product and process innovation, and how Swiss Re can utilise expert underwriting knowledge to achieve a more systematic impact. This opportunity offers great development opportunities for existing underwriters or (re)insurance professionals who are really looking for a role where they can directly influence the success of Swiss Re and its partners. /p pbOther focus areas include: /b /p liProvide a strong contribution to the SR brand in your markets. /li liDemonstrate expert local market knowledge. /li liOwn client relationships, both within underwriting and at C suite level. /li liHelping to establish Swiss Re as the premier underwriting partner to support our clients with their challenges. /li pbAbout the Team /b /p pSwiss Re Life and Health (LH) UW and Claims forms part of the Swiss Re LH Market Unit function which is responsible for driving growth opportunity and managing the in-force business and the related operations. /p pAs well as being a core element of the wider Continental Europe UW and Claims team, you will work closely with the whole Southern Europe cross functional team to ensure we provide a premium service to our clients in the region. /p pbAbout You /b /p liYou are a native Turkish speaker and have some work experiences in Turkey. /li liYou demonstrate excellent proficiency in English, other Southern European languages would be advantageous, especially Arabic or Italian. /li liYou have experience in LH underwriting or have a medical background such as doctor of medicine, physiotherapist, nurse, etc. /li liYou have knowledge of LH product development and/or project management, or have worked in a client facing role in another capacity. /li liYou are able to translate technical knowledge into clearly articulated commercial proposals including benefits/impacts. /li liYou are comfortable with technology and innovation. /li liYou are willing to take accountability for leading and driving tasks projects, combined with ability to collaborate and support colleagues and the wider team. /li liYou are willing to travel and support our local partners in the different regions of Southern Europe. /li liBeside strong technical underwriting knowledge, you should be comfortable talking to senior level clients, and ideally have experience of marketing (re)insurance services. /li p For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 96'000 and CHF 144,000 (for a full-time role).
