The Licensing Brand Manager is responsible for defining, driving, and overseeing all activities related to licensed categories, including but not limited to, furniture, home collections, and real estate projects. The role ensures strong brand coherence across all touchpoints while maximizing long‑term profitability, brand growth, and the quality of brand exposure, in line with the company’s vision, image, and positioning.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Licensing & Partnership Management
* Act as the senior interface between the brand and licensees across fashion, furniture, home, and real estate, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and driving sustainable revenue growth.
* Identify, evaluate, and develop new licensing and partnership opportunities within lifestyle, home, real estate, and hospitality, leading high‑level negotiations and supporting legal finalization with internal and external stakeholders.
* Define and steer business, marketing, and communication strategies (ATL & BTL) with licensees, ensuring alignment with the brand’s positioning and long‑term objectives.
* Support senior leadership with insights, reporting, and recommendations related to licensing performance, commercial opportunities, and business development initiatives.
Licensee Relationship & Contract Management
* Oversee and manage licensee relationships, contracts, budgets, timelines, and KPIs, ensuring excellence in execution and accountability.
* Anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and resolve complex issues across multiple partners and projects, ensuring continuity and quality execution.
* Conduct strategic market visits, showroom and site reviews, and performance assessments, proposing corrective action plans and optimization initiatives when required.
Product Development & Oversight
* Supervise the full product development lifecycle for licensed collections and projects, including product architecture, design guidelines, pricing strategy, merchandising direction, and competitive benchmarking.
* Drive alignment with internal teams (Design, Brand, Communication, Retail, Wholesale, Real Estate, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) to enhance brand awareness, drive sell‑out, and improve profitability.
* Define and negotiate distribution strategies and channels, ensuring coherence between retail, wholesale, lifestyle spaces, and real estate developments.
Performance Monitoring & Business Analysis
* Monitor marketing investments and brand execution across all channels and geographies, safeguarding brand integrity and premium positioning.
* Monitor and analyze business performance (turnover, royalties, margins, project KPIs), ensuring delivery against annual budgets and long‑term strategic targets.
Cross‑Functional Projects Coordination
* Lead complex, cross‑functional, multi‑phase projects by defining scope, objectives, milestones, and governance, ensuring timely delivery and alignment across all business units.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Branding, Communications, Finance, and Architectural Departments to ensure licensing initiatives align with overall brand strategy.
Position Requirements
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field.
* Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
Experience
* 8+ years of experience in licensing, brand management, project management or business development within luxury fashion, lifestyle, home, furniture, hospitality, or real estate environments.
Additional Requirements
* Fluency in Italian and English (French is an added value).
* Strong ability to translate brand vision into scalable, profitable licensing and partnership strategies across multiple categories.
* Proven expertise in managing complex, cross‑functional, and multi‑year projects, with strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
* Deep understanding of luxury brand codes, aesthetics, storytelling, and consistency across physical products, spaces, and experiences.
* Experience working with international markets and global partners; willingness to travel.
