Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Kandersteg. The Sous Chef will assist the head chef in daily kitchen operations, prepare and cook food, manage kitchen staff, and ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained. The Sous Chef will also be involved in menu planning, inventory management, and training new kitchen personnel.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food preparation, menu planning, and culinary techniques.
* Previous experience in a similar role at a high-quality dining establishment is preferred.
* Strong leadership skills, including supervising and training kitchen staff effectively.
* Attention to detail and proficiency in quality control and food presentation.
* Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation protocols, with a commitment to upholding these standards.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
* Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Fluency in English and/ or German is advantageous, along with strong communication skills.
* Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
* Passion for innovative cuisine and keeping up-to-date with culinary trends.
