PLIGENTEC is a rapidly growing European deep-tech Process Design House (PDH) headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, with RD and manufacturing operations in France. We develop, design, manufacture, and test Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for demanding applications in Sensing, Connectivity, and Computing. /p pBuilding on our leadership in low-loss SiN photonics, LIGENTEC is expanding its technology offering to include SOI silicon photonics with pathways for heterogeneous integration. You are about to seize a unique opportunity to transition a cutting edge technology into tangible products. To accelerate our market entry and adoption of SOI technology, we are looking for an experienced and highly connected strongSenior Business Developer Silicon Photonics /strong with a strong background in the Silicon Photonics ecosystem. /p h2Tasks /h2 pstrongYour responsibilities: /strong /p pstrongCustomer Acquisition Sales Excellence /strong /p ul liIdentify and proactively reach out to and engage with major, strategic customers across diverse sectors (e.g., Telecom, Datacom, Sensing). /li liDrive the entire sales lifecycle, from initial contact and technical discussion through negotiation and contract closing, excelling in developing and driving the business forward. /li liCultivating positive and close customer relationships /li liPrepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of LIGENTEC’s solutions. /li liManage and nurture a pipeline of opportunities, consistently meeting sales targets. /li /ul pstrongMarket Brand Development /strong /p ul liIdentify, analyze, and track market trends, competitive landscapes, and new application areas relevant to our offering. /li liDevelop and elevate the LIGENTEC brand within the global photonics ecosystem, ensuring market recognition for our cutting-edge technology and expertise. /li liRepresent LIGENTEC at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build strategic relationships. /li /ul h2Requirements /h2 pstrongStrategy Collaboration /strong /p ul liCollaborate closely with the Technical/RD team to translate customer needs into product and service requirements and vice versa. /li liProvide actionable insights on applications, segments, and market evolution to shape LIGENTEC’s strategic direction and product roadmap. /li liIdentify funding opportunities and assess the fit with the company’s roadmap. /li /ul pstrongQualifications Technical Knowledge /strong /p ul li5+ years of technical knowledge in integrated photonics is essential to effectively communicate with highly technical customers. /li liProven track record in business development, sales, or technical account management, preferably within a high-tech or B2B environment. /li /ul pstrongSkills Competencies /strong /p ul liExisting network in telecom/datacom, optical communications, silicon photonics, or related verticals is a strong advantage /li liGood Sales Orientation: Highly results-driven, persistent, and adept at identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. /li liGood Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business value.
