Product Support Engineer – Siemens Healthineers
We are seeking a candidate with a strong support mindset to assist Varian Field Service Engineers and Installations Engineers who operate Varian products. In this role, you will be part of the Product Lifecycle Customer Services (PLCS) Imaging team, providing technical support for imaging components on Varian’s linear accelerators, authoring service documentation, and contributing feedback to R&D.
Specific Responsibilities
* Respond to situations where first and second level field service support could not isolate or fix problems in equipment or software.
* Author technical documentation for Field Service and Installation organizations.
* Support new product rollouts and initiate knowledge transfer to Installation and Field Service teams.
* Represent the Global Customer Service organization and provide input to Engineering teams during new product introductions.
* Provide on‑site installation and service support on request.
Desired Qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering, computer science, or an equivalent degree.
* At least 3 years of experience in a support role.
* High level of analytical skills to dissect complex problems and find root causes.
* Self‑driven ability to quickly familiarize with new areas.
* Reliable, tenacious, and team‑oriented.
* Fluency in English, written and verbal.
Following Qualifications Are An Asset
* Previous exposure to medical physics or image processing.
* Experience with Varian Linear Accelerators (C‑series, TrueBeam, Halcyon).
* German language skills.
* Strong communication skills, structured work style, attention to detail.
* Independence with a collaborative mindset in an international environment.
