For expanding our R&D team of optical specialists in Zürich Seebach, we are looking for several experienced Precision Optics Technicians (Feinwerkoptiker / in).
About the role
* Manufacturing of precision lenses (aspheres, freeform) on modern CNC machinery
* Metrology of precision optics (tactile, interferometric, etc.).
* Maintenance of equipment.
* Participation in the organization of the workshop (orders, storage, etc.)
* R&D work environment : Prototype and small series production. No high-volume mass manufacturing.
* Part time work is possible.
Profile of qualifications
* Completed professional education in the field of precision optics (Feinwerkoptiker / in EFZ) or several years of related experience in the precision optics industry.
* Hands-on experience with grinding and polishing of spherical optics using CNC (preferably Satisloh).
* Hands-on experience with characterization tools, e.g. profilometers, interferometers.
* Knowledge of ISO 10110.
Following experience would be a plus
* 3+ years hands-on experience.
* Experience with manufacturing of aspherical or freeform optics.
* Experience with plastic optics.
* Knowledge of CAD design (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
* Experience with optical coating deposition technologies.
* Fluency in German.
