What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will join the Finance & Accounting department that is responsible for providing finance support specifically involved in accounting, cash management, tax, financial-, regulatory- and management- reporting to internal and/or external stakeholders.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

* prepare financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the lines of businesses
* drive the improvement of the business performance by analysing & evaluating key indicators and discuss with the line of business responsibles
* preparing Quarterly P&L reviews and comments through:
o interaction with peers from other departments to acquire information and data needed to support department requests/responding and resolving queries from key stakeholders
o quarterly controls and reconciliations of technical line items, through variance and data quality analysis/checks
* controls and reporting ensuring regulatory compliance
* preparing quarterly country clearance meetings and quarterly business reviews
* working on constant improvement of planning & controlling processes and keeping manuals updated

You will report to the Head of Finance, Switzerland.


What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

* Bachelors degree in finance with moderate experience gained working within general (re)insurance technical accounting/reporting/audit areas
* Solid financial planning & forecasting knowledge, having grasp of overall Financial Statements (P&L and BS)
* Compelling analytical skills, with an inquisitive attitude and attention to detail
* Good spoken & written communication & interpersonal skills; ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
* Comfortable taking ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team
* Able to organize self-including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude
* Proficient German (Mother tongue level) and English language skills.
* Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs as well as a sound understanding of system dependencies
