We have a retained mandate working on behalf of a Swiss Medical Technology company that create life-changing treatments for patients all over the world. This is a business that is rapidly expanding and significant demand in North-America and Europe with plans to expand in the Middle-East, Asian and Australiasian markets.
The organization is searching for a Chief Operations Officer, reporting to the CEO and is responsible for building, scaling, and leading all operational functions of the fast-growing manufacturing and production facilities, serving global markets.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for Distribution, Manufacturing, Development, Supply Chain, Logistics, QARA ensuring the organization is able to scale to cope with significant demand from Key customer groups and distribution partners.
* Develop a structure to significantly scale production
* Design, implement, and scale all core operational functions; development, procurement, supply chain, warehousing, and global distribution.
* Establish foundational operating processes, systems, and controls that support rapid growth and international expansion to Middle-East, Asia and Australasia.
* Manufacturing, Quality & Innovation
* Lead manufacturing operations with a focus on throughput, quality, and scalability, whether in-house, outsourced, or hybrid.
* Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices early to avoid inefficiencies at scale.
* Ensure compliance with relevant medical device and quality standards, building quality systems that scale with the business.
* Leadership of the existing team and developing plans to implement new headcount and functional hires to meet growth plans
Background Experience
* 'Hands-on' Approach to
* Experience in building, developing and implementing processes from scratch in a medical devices
* Understanding of Quality and Regulatory requirments in World-Wide locations
* 5+ Years experience operating at a minimum Director level leading International Operations organization
