We are looking for an
Analytical Chemist with strong expertise in mass spectrometry and structure elucidation
to join the Analytics Development department.
Max hourly rate : Max. 39 CHF/hour
Type of contract : Contractor
Duration of contract : 20 Oct 2025 – 19 Oct 2027
Your responsibilities:
* Design and implement MS analytical strategies for product development projects
* Apply high-resolution mass spectrometry to solve complex analytical challenges
* Interpret MS data for structure elucidation of unknown compounds in reactions, active ingredients, and final products
* Develop quantitative methodologies and analytical methods to meet project goals
* Maintain and optimize laboratory instruments and propose improvements
* Collaborate in cross-functional teams, integrate multi-source data, and communicate results effectively
Your profile:
* MSc degree / Fachhochschulabschluss / Chemielaborant Ausbildung
* At least 5 years' experience applying MS to small molecule structures
* Minimum 2 years' practical experience in mass spectrometry (industrial or postgraduate)
* Strong understanding of chemical structures and synthetic chemistry mechanisms
* Experience with liquid chromatography and LC-MS method development
* Team player, result-oriented, with strong communication skills
* Languages: German B2+ and English B2+
