Supplier Quality Engineer 80-100% role at Siemens.
The Role
In our global Supply Quality Management team, we are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer who brings enthusiasm for quality and innovation, eager to explore new ideas and challenge limits. The position supports Strategic and Project Procurement by ensuring the highest quality standards across our global supply chain. You will conduct supplier audits, especially for high-risk suppliers, while providing expert consultation to procurement teams on quality management processes and methodologies. This position requires close collaboration with multiple business functions such as IT, Product Development, Project Management, Procurement, and Supplier Quality.
Core Responsibilities
 * Coordinate pre-assessment and audit requests using our SharePoint platform and execute supplier audits with thorough follow-up
 * Engage with the auditor community to ensure consistency and excellence in quality assessments
 * Monitor and evaluate supplier performance by tracking key performance metrics and generating detailed evaluation reports through the SolNG platform
 * Support claims management, the 8D process, and guide Global Commodity Managers on quality-related issues, ensuring robust Quality Assurance Agreement monitoring
 * Contribute to strategic initiatives by assisting in negotiations for quality contracts, developing supplier strategies, and ensuring branding compliance
 * Oversee digital tools and systems management, working with applications including Supplier Evaluations and Developments, ScNCC, and SQM Check, while driving ongoing system improvements
Your Skills and Experience
 * Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred or relevant business or technical experience
 * Experience in Supplier Auditing and Quality Assurance with proven track record of conducting supplier audits (especially for high-risk suppliers), managing follow-ups, and ensuring compliance with quality standards across a global supply chain; preferably gained in a B2B environment
 * Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Processes with deep understanding of quality methodologies (e.g., 8D, claims management, Quality Assurance Agreements) and the ability to guide procurement teams on quality-related best practices
 * Technical Proficiency with Digital Quality Tools and Platforms such as SharePoint, SolNG, ScNCC, SQM Check, and other supplier evaluation/development systems, including data analysis and reporting capabilities
 * Comfort working in a dynamic, global environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and in a digital setup to drive quality excellence
 * Proactive team member, good at negotiating, and able to seek constructive agreements with a continuous improvement mindset
 * Fluency in English; German is a plus
