Finance Manager - Six Senses Crans Montana
As Finance Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Finance department within Six Senses' financial operating standards. In conjunction with the Director of Finance and other executives, I am a key participant in setting the strategic direction of the resort.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Establishing and maintaining effective management of the resort’s accounting practices and providing a flow of financial information and reporting to all divisions and departments, Home Office, and the owners.
2. Preparing the annual budget and capital expenditure plan and monitoring actual financial performance against the budget.
3. Overseeing financial transactions, including approval of purchase requisitions and orders, payments, petty cash, payroll, audits, and other financial requests.
4. Ensuring internal controls are in place to provide compliance with financial legislation and taxation requirements, and that our financial, payroll, and information systems are effective.
5. Responding immediately to audit issues and overseeing required actions to address deficiencies.
6. Continuously improving the financial function in line with Six Senses practices.
7. Ensuring that purchasing practices meet the requirements of the Six Senses Sustainability & Eat With Six Senses platforms and guidelines.
8. Undertaking vendor/supplier vetting, stocktakes, and storage assessments to ensure stock is on hand, properly stored, and aligned with Six Senses standards.
9. Instilling a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
10. Operating the property in compliance with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements, including documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communication standards, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Finance Manager, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, with proven results, including:
1. Possession of some college education plus 2+ years of hotel accounting or auditing experience, including management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with more than five years’ experience in hotel accounting preferred.
3. CPA certification is preferred.
4. Fluent in English and French.
5. European or Swiss passport.
