About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Carbon Removal Business Development Manager to drive the growth and expansion of our business opportunities in the field of carbon dioxide removal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality carbon removal credits, working closely with our sourcing team to execute all phases of procurement strategy, conducting thorough market research, attending conferences, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM).

This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to identify, create, and capitalize on business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, with experience in the CDR and VCM sectors, as well as strong network connections with relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure a consistent supply of high-quality carbon removal credits to meet internal demand.
* Work closely with the CDR sourcing team to execute all phases of procurement strategy.
* Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, commercial opportunities, and potential customers in the CDR industry.
* Attend conferences, workshops, and industry events to stay abreast of the latest developments and generate business opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the VCM.
* Monitor and manage all CDR projects, overseeing their life cycle from sourcing to retirement.

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Economics, Marketing, Sciences or Engineering.
* At least 5 years of sales and business development experience in the CDR and VCM sectors.
* Successful track record in value selling, customer and project management.
* Strong network connections with relevant stakeholders in the CDR and VCM sectors.
* Detailed comprehension of the VCM players, frameworks, and regulations.

Desirable Skills:

* Proven ability to identify, create, and capitalize on business opportunities.
* Excellent negotiation skills in securing favorable purchasing agreements.
* Strategic mindset in developing and implementing business plans.

About You:

* Fluent English language skills (spoken and written).
* Ability to work in a multinational matrix environment.
* Leadership and managerial abilities.

Mobility Requirements:

30-40% travel internationally and nationally.
