Your Role As a Manufacturing Process Engineering Consultant, you will support a leading Swiss industrial company in the Zurich region in the development of scalable and efficient production processes.
You will work at the interface of product development, production, supply chain, quality, IT, and operations. Your role is to understand which production processes are required for new products, define how parts are assembled into robust and scalable processes, and help set up production lines accordingly.
The focus is on process development, industrialization, line concepts, and scalable production engineering. This is not a purely shopfloor execution role, but it still requires a realistic understanding of manufacturing, equipment, and production line setup. You should be comfortable looking at production lines, challenging assumptions, and translating product requirements into efficient assembly and production processes.
Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include jumping into ongoing industrialization projects, supporting new product introduction, defining and optimizing assembly processes, contributing to technical line layouts, supporting stage‑gate processes with realistic production roles, validating processes, and aligning project requirements with production reality.
Your Profile MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering, industrialization, or process development
Strong understanding of assembly processes, production line concepts, and scalable manufacturing processes
Experience in industrialization of new products and working in project‑based environments
Familiarity with manufacturing-related IT systems, such as MES, ERP, PLM, or similar
Lean / Six Sigma certification or comparable practical experience in process improvement is preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to align engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and management stakeholders
Fluent English is required
German proficiency is a strong advantage, especially for collaboration with production teams in Switzerland
Availability at short notice is highly preferred

Experience with electro‑mechanical devices or comparable industrial products
Experience in industries such as electronics, actuator technology, HVAC, household appliances, automotive parts, or similar industrial environments
