PhD position in Social Work (50%) - ITTS, Faculty of Economics and Business
The University of Neuchâtel (UniNE) is located in the French speaking part of Switzerland, in a city that enjoys a central location.
The Transdisciplinary Institute of Social Work (ITTS) is pleased to invite applications for a 50% PhD position in Social Work under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michaela Slotwinski. The position will start on or after 1 May 2026 .
Conduct research for your (empirical) PhD thesis in the field of social work (public policy, inequality, gender economics and related fields).
Support teaching and tutoring activities in quantitative methods for the social sciences.
Participate in the development of the ITTS.
The successful candidate is expected to pursue a PhD in social work within the ITTS PhD program.
Your profile
You hold a master in social work, economics, political science or a related field.
You have excellent knowledge of undergraduate-level applied data analysis/econometrics, with a focus on causal inference.
You have strong social and communication skills.
