Job Purpose
Follow‑up all aspects of contract execution and logistics associated with physical cargo delivery, and record daily trading operations in our Integrated Trading system, for West Africa region.
Responsibilities
* Execution of contracts and monitoring shipments includes relation with suppliers, customers, nomination of agents, inspection companies, documentary instructions, accruals management, invoicing, arranging payments / receipts against shipping documents, L/C negotiation, stock management, insurance declaration, finalization of quality and weight claims, liquidations of files in due time, assure contractual obligations are met at the lowest cost.
* Coordination of vessel/barge/inland transport operations: liaising with chartering / ship‑owners / transporters, nomination to commercial partners, chartering advice and appropriation and follow up on shipping matters.
* Record daily trading Operations in our Integrated Trading system and other corporate portals.
* Ensure the smooth flow of information between various departments and in particular between the Trading, Shipping, Legal, Insurance, Treasury, accounting and other corporate Departments as well as your manager.
Requirements
* Ideally 5 years of experience in Grains / rice operations – in West Africa.
* Fluent in English and French (a must).
* Rigorous, flexible, pro‑active, solution oriented and strong team working skills.
* Eager to change management, (usage of new tools, different way of thinking outside the box).
