The Indirect Tax Accountant position is a key role in ensuring compliance with sales and use tax laws, minimizing assessments from audits, and analyzing complex data to present solutions to senior management.
This individual will be responsible for maintaining the current location list, resolving billing issues, analyzing sales and use tax exposure, and presenting solutions to minimize assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain property tax compliance including bill payments/notice resolution/audits.
* Resolving and researching billing issues with internal departments.
* Analyze and identify sales and use tax exposure and present solutions to minimize assessments.
This role also involves working closely with the finance team to ensure timely completion of tasks and meeting deadlines.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in tax research and taxability using Avalara.
In addition, this individual will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $80,000 annually.

Requirements:
* Must have experience with tax research and taxability using Avalara.
* Familiarity with Accounting and Financial Systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Sales Force/ServiceMax)
* Industry knowledge of construction and maintenance services
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting
