PhD Student at the Section of Medicine, Chair of Pharmacology
This one‑year fixed‑term contract (with the possibility of extension to three years, funded by SNF) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge pharmacological research at the University of Fribourg.
Responsibilities
* Bring ideas to the research topic
* Establish or improve various experimental techniques
* Conduct laboratory research using pharmacological, molecular and biochemical tools
* Organize and analyze data, write publications
* Collaborate with a network of investigators internally and externally
* Publish and present findings in international meetings and journals
* Supervise MA students contributing to the research (part‑time)
Qualifications
* Highly motivated and curious individual with strong interest in pharmacology, cell signalling, and cellular metabolism
* MSc in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular or Cell Biology, or related field
* Practical experience in cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry and gasotransmitters (experience working with mice is an advantage)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary international team
* Good written and spoken English skills
