The Position
Our Finance Centers of Excellence at Roche have led the way in breaking down silos, removing hierarchies, and adopting innovative approaches. We are transitioning from a divisional/functional model to an enterprise approach with an Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE). The eCoE will focus on delivering financial expertise, insights, and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure agility and flexibility for stakeholders. It will serve as a talent hub for Finance, enhancing capabilities and networks.
The three focus areas within the eCoE are:
* Financial Backbone
* Digital Innovation
* Planning, Analytics, and Insights
In this role, you will be a key member of the global standard costing squad, utilizing your deep financial expertise to orchestrate, execute, monitor, validate, and assess the quality of end-to-end process outcomes in Pharma and Group financials. You will understand the complexity of these processes and assess data readiness, regardless of the system or tools used. Inventory reporting and collaboration with the supply chain organization will be central to your responsibilities.
From an analytical and digital perspective, you will contribute to building models that evaluate the accuracy of outcomes from standard costing, and enhance management reporting by integrating standard costing data. You will collaborate with Roche Services & Solutions, Finance Enterprise Partners, and the Business to streamline core finance processes, drive digital transformation, and ensure business continuity.
Who you are
* Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related Business discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in Finance within a global manufacturing and cost accounting environment.
* Strong understanding of standard costing principles and methodologies.
* Digital proficiency with SAP S/4HANA, cost accounting, profitability analysis, and process automation skills.
* Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify patterns.
* A passion for change, simplification, and process improvement, with the ability to navigate complexity and eliminate waste.
* Innovative thinker with a focus on process digitalization and automation.
* Resilient, adaptable to fast-changing environments, and committed to leadership principles.
* Strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to build trusting relationships.
* Ability to understand business context, prioritize effectively, and switch between high-level and detailed views.
* Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills suitable for a multicultural environment.
