As part of our consulting division, you’ll work directly with customers to design, deploy, and troubleshoot high-performance, secure web infrastructure. You will be a key contributor to customer success — supporting mission-critical platforms across CDN, WAF, and web performance domains.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced engineer with deep hands‑on expertise in Akamai CDN/WAF technologies, combined with strong knowledge of core internet protocols and modern web performance optimization techniques. In this role, you will provide advanced support, architecture guidance, and performance diagnostics to enterprise clients, helping them protect and accelerate their online applications.
This is a technically demanding, client‑facing position ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex web delivery and security challenges. You will collaborate closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and partners to ensure robust, secure, and highly performant deployments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced support for Akamai CDN, WAF and related delivery/security products.
* Troubleshoot complex issues across HTTP, DNS, TLS, caching, routing, and edge logic configurations.
* Analyze and optimize customer web performance using real-world telemetry, diagnostics, and best practices.
* Lead configuration, implementation, and tuning of CDN, WAF, and edge security policies for enterprise clients.
* Perform log analysis, incident triage, and root‑cause investigations for production outages and performance regressions.
* Serve as an escalation point for advanced CDN/WAF issues and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
* 4+ years of experience in CDN, WAF, or web infrastructure support roles.
* Hands‑on experience with Akamai technologies (Property Manager, WAF, etc.).
* Strong understanding of HTTP, DNS, TLS, caching concepts, edge delivery, and web optimization.
* Familiarity with web security concepts: WAF rules, bot mitigation, rate limiting, and API protection.
* Scripting or tooling skills (Python, Bash, APIs) for automation and troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication skills and comfort interfacing directly with enterprise customers.
* A proactive, ownership‑driven mindset and the ability to operate autonomously in high‑stakes environments.
* French and English (written / spoken) mandatory.
