We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT OT Engineer to join our client in Basel. This 12-month role involves supporting and optimizing IT and OT systems within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with project-oriented and operational capabilities to ensure seamless system integration and adherence to GMP / GxP standards.
Key Responsibilities :
* Plan, deliver, operate, and maintain IT and OT systems to support manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Analyze and design IT / OT infrastructure solutions by collaborating with global IT teams, ensuring systems meet operational needs.
* Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline and improve workflows across departments.
* Collaborate with network and cybersecurity experts to integrate solutions that meet security standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing on-site support to maintain the efficiency and reliability of IT / OT operations.
Qualifications and Requirements :
* Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, along with relevant certifications in automation engineering.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and OT system setup, including troubleshooting and validation.
* Experience with virtualization technologies and traditional control systems, as well as strong knowledge of manufacturing IT and OT environments.
* Proven experience in GMP / GxP environments, with proficiency in system installation, qualification, and validation.
* Strong understanding of network connectivity and cybersecurity, including managing IT and OT subnets.
* Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with a track record of effective teamwork in cross-functional project settings.
