Your mission
Characterization: You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to characterize (and produce) sorbent materials and filter modules for direct air capture.
Development & Experimentation: You advance material development, mechanical testing, and analytical methodologies in the chemical lab through independent experimentation and evaluation of new concepts using hypothesis‑driven experimental designs.
Research & Optimization: You contribute to sorbent structure optimization by defining research questions, generating and interpreting laboratory data, and supporting evidence‑based material improvements.
Requirements
* Educational Background: You hold a bachelor's degree, or you are working towards a master's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials science, or a related discipline.
* Practical Experience: Enjoy working hands‑on in the lab with experience in one of the following: working in chemical labs, failure analysis, water and gas analysis, characterization of porous materials, adsorption characterization, or prototyping.
* Working Approach: You have a reliable and motivated mindset, combined with a solution‑oriented and structured way of working. You communicate clearly and demonstrate resilience and self‑reliance in a research environment.
* Language Skills: You are fluent in English and comfortable working in an international, interdisciplinary environment.

What we offer
* Six-month internships.
* Hybrid work setup with 100% workload solution, giving you flexibility while ensuring valuable collaboration by working onsite at least four days per week.
* Standardized salary process based on market benchmarks.
* Compensation for internships based in Switzerland: CHF 2,500 per month after completion of MSc.
* Preferred start date: July 1st, 2026.
