Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is looking for a:
Project Engineer, on a 12-month contract, with possibilities of extension, in the Valais region, Switzerland .
Your Main Responsibilities: Develop technical concepts and advise stakeholders on decision-making for investment projects.
Lead the detailed engineering planning, budget approval, and execution of small to mid-sized projects impacting production and business results
Conduct process engineering calculations, plant optimizations, and feasibility studies for new or rebuilt plants, including cost estimation, scheduling, and functionality assessments.
Plan, execute, and support production adjustments and product launches
Evaluate technical solutions, weighing advantages and disadvantages for project implementation
Procure and organize internal/external resources to ensure professional and timely project execution
Optimize process flows, implement solutions, and transfer know-how across teams
Your Profile: Relevant Swiss working/residency permit and/or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Bioengineering, or Chemical Engineering
Proven ability to apply technical expertise in daily operations
Strong leadership skills in matrix organizations
Excellent communication skills in both English and German (written and spoken)
Highly solution-oriented mindset and proactive approach to project challenges
Innovative thinking and ability to comprehend complex contexts
