The Business Unit Robotics develops, produces, and distributes pipetting robots for automating liquid handling processes for a wide range of customers from the pharmaceutical and food industries to cell and DNA research.
How you can make a difference:
Your main responsibilities include:
1. Create, develop, and manage a new sales team, including recruiting, training, and managing new sales representatives.
2. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence.
3. Achieve growth and sales targets by effectively managing the team and assessing its strengths and weaknesses.
4. Know the key products and demonstrate them virtually and in front of customers.
5. Establish productive relationships with key personnel in customer accounts.
6. Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to target key demographics.
7. Liaise with regional representatives and sales managers to develop professional relationships.
8. Work closely with the product managers to provide market insights for innovation.
9. Attend conferences and exhibitions to identify opportunities.
10. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders at headquarters and subsidiaries.
11. Oversee sales forecasting and financial invoicing within the set budget.
12. Manage sales and cost budgets and update financial records.
This Sales Team Leader role can be performed from a home office with substantial travel activities.
What you bring:
1. Master's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
2. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales leadership role.
4. Experience with laboratory equipment or reagents sales is a plus.
5. Strong leadership and motivational skills.
6. Well-organized and systematic in approach.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to analyze sales data and metrics to develop plans.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
10. Willingness and ability to travel across Europe as needed.
11. Fluent in German and very good in English (C1 level); knowledge of French and other local languages is a plus.
