Job Description
Join our Automotive team and help shape the platform powering next-generation digital mobility solutions. As a Senior Backend/Platform Engineer, you’ll design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that support millions of users and complex automotive ecosystems. If you’re passionate about clean architecture, platform thinking, and building systems that truly make an impact - we’d love to meet you.
What you will be doing
2. Collaborate within a cross-functional team to deliver valuable product increments
3. Design and implement high-quality, production-ready Java services following established engineering standards and best practices
4. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical discussions, shaping the evolution of our backend and platform capabilities
5. Own the production operation and monitoring of the systems
6. Operate and improve systems running in cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes)
7. Continuously improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our platform
8. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure configuration where relevant to backend services
9. Proactively mentor team members and support their technical growth
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
10. Fluent in English for both written and spoken communication
11. 6+ years of experience developing backend systems in Java
12. 4+ years of experience with Spring Boot
13. Strong grounding in Computer Science: data structures, algorithms, mathematics.
14. Solid experience building and operating distributed systems and messaging solutions
15. Fluency with automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD practices
16. Hands-on experience working with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
17. Practical experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
18. Comfortable owning services in production, including monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning
19. Ability to navigate complex technical challenges and break them down into pragmatic solutions
20. Eagerness to understand business context and align technical decisions with product goals
Your application will stand out if you have experience with:
21. Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform).
22. Messaging systems such as Kafka
23. Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
24. Improving developer productivity and platform tooling
