Key Account Manager - 100%
Maag Pump Systems AG is seeking a proven leader with focus on sales support, project management and the ability to leverage customer relationships to the next level. You are assigned to one of our global key customer areas (e.g., East Asia, India or Americas). You are responsible from the first contact with a customer/agent for an inquiry through to equipment delivery and cash-in. You foster polymer markets for business opportunities in your target area.
As a key account manager you travel from time to time to local customers in your target market to support global sales staff with your understanding of pump design and gear pump applications.
Responsibilities
* Prepare quotations and process orders for all customers in your assigned area of responsibility
* Impact customer buy-decisions with your understanding of pump technology and the manufacturing business processes of MAAG customers
* Travel from time to time (approx. 10-20%) to visit customers on-site and at headquarters
* Lead projects: check and control costs, pricing, progress, milestones, delivery dates; sort out contractual deviations and challenges in offers and in order execution; report monthly commercial project results and business developments; propose corrective measures
* Collaborate with MAAG internal departments and key suppliers
* Keywords: Kick-off, project meetings, customer inspections, rolling margin and post-cost calculations, terms and conditions
Qualifications
* Higher degree in mechanical or chemical engineering; business administration degree is a plus
* Affinity to manage commercial topics for multimillion order values; negotiation skills
* Several years of experience in sales as well as back-office activities, preferably for petrochemical and polymer-producing customers
* Proven record in business development outside of Europe in the polymer-producing chemical industry
* Fluent English (verbal and written), eager to learn German; Gujarati or other Indian language skills are a plus
