Our multinational end client is now looking for its Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead their global infrastructure and service delivery function.
In this dynamic and distributed role, you will be accountable for the performance, scalability, and modernization of the core IT Infrastructure services across 50+ sites, including research center and production.
You will manage a hybrid team and take ownership of IT infrastructure domains such as networking, datacenter, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Windows systems, and end-user computing. This includes also overseeing the transition to managed services in selected areas, driving service excellence and operational efficiency.
The Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations is responsible for the strategy, design, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT infrastructure and operations. This includes global network architecture, data centers, cloud platforms, end-user computing, IT service management (ITSM), and operational resilience. This leader ensures high availability, scalability, and security of all IT systems and services to support business continuity and growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure, including network (LAN/WAN), storage, datacenter environments, Windows servers, backup/disaster recovery, and workplace services.
* Design and implement hybrid cloud strategies, integrating on-premise and public cloud (Azure/AWS) environments with focus on performance, scalability, and governance.
* Ensure continuous availability and performance of IT services across geographically distributed sites.
* Oversee an internal team and manage third-party vendors to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality infrastructure services.
* Manage a multi million CHF budget, with responsibility for cost control, forecasting, and return on infrastructure investments.
* Partner with application, business, and digital teams to ensure infrastructure supports enterprise-wide goals.

Requirements
* 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations leadership roles within multi-site or enterprise environments.
* Proven expertise in managing complex infrastructure environments, including networks, datacenters, cloud platforms, and enterprise Windows systems.
* Demonstrated success leading managed services transitions and optimizing hybrid delivery models.
* Strong experience in team leadership, vendor management, and operational governance.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including at executive level.
* Experience in a regulated environment is a plus
* French is a plus.
