Specifically, as part of this job posting, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to support our US-Focused Markets Group (US-FMG). Working across many different industries, this individual will develop by executing and leading US GAAP, SOX 404, and US capital markets specific FAAS projects. It is all about listening to our clients, asking the better questions, and supporting them in areas where there are no off-the-shelf solutions.Your key responsibilitiesCollaborate with the EY FAAS leadership in Switzerland to develop and execute strategies for individual clients to satisfy high client expectations.Work with other service lines and subject matter experts to provide an integrated service delivery model across functions in an international team to meet our clients’ high expectations.Support and deliver US GAAP / US capital markets FAAS projects and contribute to the growth of the FAAS US-FMG.Deliver SOX 404 advisory services in connection with transactions and support with Day 2 topics.Participate in projects to implement ESG-related disclosure requirements, including processes and controls around the required disclosures.Support the team in understanding the client's business needs to develop client-focused, clear, accurate, and well-presented deliverables.Be a team player, coaching colleagues locally and offshore, with high initiative and responsibility.Ensure timely delivery of work in compliance with regulatory requirements.Engage in and develop new opportunities related to FAAS projects, solutions, and relationships.Understand client needs from transactions to SOX compliance.Skills and attributes for successTo qualify for the role you must haveBachelor or Master degree (preferably in Accounting/Finance), plus relevant professional certifications (e.g., US CPA preferred, Swiss CPA, ACCA, CFA).2 to 5 years of experience in audit or consulting, focusing on US GAAP, PCAOB, SOX, SEC, and US capital market transactions.Advisory experience with capital markets transactions such as IPOs, debt listings, carve-outs, etc., is strongly encouraged.Experience with SOX 404 processes and controls is highly desirable.IFRS knowledge is a plus for GAAP conversion projects.Proven leadership in managing high-performing teams, including offshore/remote resources.Strong risk management knowledge and technical writing skills.Proactive, flexible, team-oriented, with a willingness to go “the extra mile”.Ability to build internal and external networks in a fast-paced, international environment.Excellent English skills (spoken and written); German and French are a plus.What we offerAt EY, we will develop you with future-focused skills and world-class experiences.
