The Plant Adaptation Laboratory (PAL) at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, invites applications for a fully funded PhD position as part of a Swiss National Science Foundation project focused on plant adaptation to salinity stress. The research aims to advance our understanding of how plants cope with saline soil conditions, specifically investigating subcellular mechanisms and adaptive strategies in both genetic model Arabidopsis and naturally salt-tolerant halophytes.
Requirements
– Master’s degree in biology or a related discipline, preferably with a focus on plants
– Experience in molecular biology and cloning techniques
– Strong interest in optical and cryo imaging techniques
– Basic knowledge or experience in coding, data analysis, and biostatistics
– Excellent oral and written English communication skills
