Develop and select the right products according to the category game plan and briefing provided by the Product Line Manager (PLM). This involves close cooperation with the design team and the suppliers with the goal to meet customer/consumer requirements in terms of best possible price-to-value ratio while respecting ESG principles in product development and sourcing decisions, ensuring that products are technically ready for certification through complete and accurate technical documentation, specifications, and product performance requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within this the following responsibilities apply:
* Enable close and efficient collaboration alongside the creation-process with Quality, Procurement, PLM, Packaging, Design and Compliance teams.
* Oversee and prepare Product Sourcing briefings including Tech Packs, Specifications and Testing requirements alongside the Product and process approval process
* Coordinate and create BOM´s and Tech Packs for all products (carry over and new) in order to secure product compliance with your team
* Ensure best possible prices during the Creation process to achieve targets given in the initial briefing (Design to Cost) in close collaboration and alignment with PLM, Procurement, Quality, Packaging and Design -> Principal: better price
* Negotiate best possible conditions (MOQ/Leadtime) during the creation process in close collaboration and Alignment with Procurement to deliver the best possible solution-> Principal: better service
* Guide and make appropriate recommendations and support in finding solutions in collaboration with peer teams (Design, PLM, Supplier) on matters pertaining specifications, moulds, construction methods to hit the appropriate product briefings.
* Organise and lead the proto review/fitting meetings. Component, Sub-Assembly & Final Product testings according to internal requirements and applicable international standards
* Create technical digital content by using different platforms such as varies asset libraries, the assigned 3D Software tool, CAD software and Adobe Suite
* Support certification execution by ensuring completeness, accuracy, and traceability of development deliverables (BOM, tech packs, specifications, product claims, test requirements, risk-related documentation) in the required systems and formats
* Identify certification-related risks early (e.g., product type / category expansion, construction, materials, claims, regulatory framework changes such as GPSR and proactively elevate internally where needed.
* Ensure Development Team focus remains on technical readiness, performance and specification delivery.
* Guide and lead team to work on the right priorities towards defined targets and within defined frame
KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and understanding of product development processes, materials, and technical specifications.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing and ensuring product compliance, BOMs, Tech Packs, lab dips, and color confirmation.
* Supplier Management: Experience in briefing suppliers, supporting vendor sourcing, and handling price negotiations alongside all calendar-milestones
* Organizational Skills: Capability to stick to development calendars, sample processes,
* Knowledge of Sourcing and Trim/Material Selection: Understanding of sourcing strategies, trim/material sourcing, and price analysis.
* Commercial Acumen: Focus on optimizing resources, maximizing profitability, and achieving commercial objectives.
* Cross-functional collaboration competence with Quality / Compliance to ensure process consistency, accuracy, traceability, and technical readiness for certification.
* Knowledge of sustainable practices, eco-friendly materials, circular design principles, and ethical sourcing strategies to align product development with environmental and social responsibility.
