Job Overview
As a Multi‑skilled Mechanic (m/f) – Engine Gearbox Assembly/Disassembly you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling engine gearboxes and components according to manufacturer specifications and technical drawings. You will support process improvements, ensure compliance with aviation regulations, and collaborate with adjacent departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and disassemble engine gearboxes and components per manufacturer specs and technical drawings.
* Perform general mechanical assembly tasks on engine and gear systems.
* Inspect and document components for dimensional accuracy and damage.
* Read and apply technical documentation, such as Maintenance Manuals (AMM, CMM).
* Support process improvements and implement new technologies using Lean methods (Lean Six Sigma, 5S).
* Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (EASA Part‑145) and internal quality/safety standards.
* Assist adjacent departments as needed (inspections, logistics, repair coordination).
Your Profile
* Completed vocational training in a mechanical trade, ideally polytechnic or industrial mechanic.
* Experience in aviation or high‑precision mechanical environments is a plus.
* Precise, structured, independent, and quality‑focused working style.
* Strong teamwork, communication skills, and operational flexibility.
* Able to work efficiently under time pressure and in a 2‑shift system.
* Motivation for continuous professional development and aviation certifications.
* Good German and English skills; solid IT knowledge (MS Office, SAP/ERP advantageous).
